SolidSignal.com Named One of the Top 500 Internet Retailers in America

SolidSignal.com, an online electronics retailer based in Novi, Michigan, has been named one of the Top 500 internet retailers in America by Internet Retailer magazine for the second consecutive year.

Internet Retailer's definitive ranking and analysis of America's 500 largest e-retailers is based on annual 2008 Internet sales, researched by Internet Retailer and confirmed by retailers. This report includes company financial, operational and performance data, as well as vendors in key categories. This year’s results can be found online at www.top500guide.com.

Solid Signal’s Rankings
Solid Signal’s fiscal sales in 2008 rose to $14.6 million, a 104% increase from 2007 total sales of $7.15 million. The dramatic increase in business this year spurred the company’s overall ranking to #412 on Internet Retailers’ Top 500 list, up from #493 in 2008. In the Computers/Electronics category, SolidSignal.com now ranks #46, up from #56 in 2008.

Additionally, SolidSignal.com is the eighth fastest growing e-tailer on Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide. Compared to other online retailers headquartered in Michigan that made the Guide, Solid Signal is the second fastest growing company in the state; it was also the only Michigan company in the Computer/Electronics category.

“Not many online retailers can say they grew by 104% in 2008, but SolidSignal.com can,” says Internet Retailer editor-in-chief Kurt Peters. “They serve their niche market particularly well and that’s helped them achieve a ranking as one of America’s 500 largest web merchants.”

“We’re very proud to again be recognized as one of America’s Top 500 internet retailers, and are extremely grateful to our customers and vendors who helped us accomplish this tremendous goal,” said Jerry Chapman, CEO of Solid Signal. “Competition in the online marketplace increases daily, so we work very hard to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction as well as our valued business relationships.”

In addition to its prestigious ranking in Internet Retailers’ Top 500 Guide, SolidSignal.com made the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States in both 2007 and 2008.
