Cord-Cutters to Get More Free HDTV Programming

TOPICS:

Good news, cord-cutters! Bounce, Escape, Grit TV, and Laff are coming to 43 new TV markets across the country.

One of the many benefits to cutting the cord is the amount of free TV stations in each local media market. Bounce, Escape, Grit TV, and Laff offer niche programming on a variety of sub-channels throughout the country. These channels are coming to more TV markets across the country and renewing contracts in a many existing markets. It’s all thanks to a partnership between Nexstar Media, Mission Broadcasting, Inc., and White Knight Broadcasting, Inc. Because of this agreement, these channels will cover between 86-90 percent of the U.S. This is great for everyone who wants to make the most of their decision to cut the cord.

Cord-Cutting and Programming Availability
Some people believe that there aren’t many channels available on OTA TV. This is one of the biggest myths about cord-cutting. The truth is that every TV market in the U.S. has all the major networks and a variety of sub-channels for each. These sub-channel feature Bounce, Escape, Grit TV, and Laff, as well as other niche stations. Most media markets also have some low-powered TV stations that cord-cutters might be able to access with a TV antenna. This means there is plenty of TV programming for cord-cutters to enjoy. Best of all, it’s free!
