This remote extender just keeps on going.

TOPICS:

We’ve been talking about since 2008. Yeah, seriously. It’s just one of the most useful little things we sell at Solid Signal. I’m talking about the NextGen Remote Extender, the little device that lets you take any remote that uses AA or AAA batteries and convert it into a super-remote that shoots through walls and doors. It works so well that it’s become one of our most popular products.

Don’t believe me about that 2008 date? Here’s the proof… it’s the oldest video on our YouTube channel and has racked up over 50,000 views which is pretty good for a piece of consumer electronics.

It’s simple to use, inexpensive and reliable. You replace one of the batteries in your remote with a combination battery/transmitter and put the flying saucer-shaped receiver at the device you’re trying to control. Instantly, your remote problems are over, and you can point your remote in any direction — even completely opposite from the device — and it will still work.

Think about that. In 2008 most people didn’t have smartphones. Most people were just impressed that they could take pictures with their phones and the phones weren’t that good. Seriously. And yet this product keeps going on and on, succeeding where the competition fails. It sells out every time we feature it, too. This little device shows no signs of stopping, either, and I expect it will still be one of our most popular products in 2028.

It just works.

Why? Because it’s dead simple to use, reasonably priced, and you can expand it to control multiple devices if you want. It’s not incredibly glamorous and it’s not going to win any awards for innovative manufacturing; it just works. That’s the beauty of it. I’ve had one myself since I did this 2012 video:

…which was one of the first videos I did for Solid Signal and boy does it show! It may not be a barn-burner of a video but it proves the point that this device really works! Gosh, I hope I’ve gotten better at making videos in the last ten years. This one’s a little bit cringe.

These devices come in retail packaging so they make good gifts, too… once people realize that you’re no longer suffering with remote control problems they’ll want one and you’ll look like a genius for getting one for them. Try it today and watch your troubles disappear!
