Hands on with the HD-BLADE, part 1: Stress Test

TOPICS:

I took my HD-BLADE to the most difficult location I could find. Here are the details:

  • 55 miles away from the towers
  • On the opposite side of the house from the towers
  • Cheapest possible TV ($100 Vizio)

I mounted it on the wall with some of that sticky gummy stuff and did a channel scan.

As you can see from the results, I got 29 digital channels. I actually got two VHF-High channels, and the only major channels that I missed were on the high end of the UHF spectrum.

Seriously, an indoor antenna at 55 miles! That’s mindblowing!

Next I’m going to start doing …. bad things … to the HD-BLADE. Let’s see how much punishment it can take.
