TOPICS:

Is there a distance requirement between the Genie and Wireless Video Bridge?

The Genie DVR should never be more than 150 cable-feet away from any client or video bridge. However, the Genie should be at least 8 cable-feet away from the wireless video bridge.

Is there a distance requirement between the Genie and your wireless router?

If you are using the built-in wireless capabilities of your Genie DVR, the Genie DVR must be at least four feet from the router. Also, the wireless video bridge should be at least four feet from the router as well.

Is there a distance requirement between the Wireless C41 Client and Wireless Video Bridge?

The Wireless Video Bridge and wireless client should be a minimum of eight feet apart (which shouldn’t be a problem, since if they were that close you wouldn’t use a wireless client.)

However, the absolute maximum distance for the wireless client is 80 feet and 5 walls between client and bridge. Your situation may vary depending on the composition of your walls, the placement of the equipment, any wiring that you already have, and several different factors.
