At Solid Signal, it’s our team that makes us the premier online destination for satellite TV, antenna, and cellular enthusiasts. Each of our Signal Pros answers calls, emails, and chats to help you find the product you need. They also ship it to you in a timely fashion, and make themselves available to answer any questions you have. Since these folks do so much to make your experience with us a great one, we’d like to give you the chance to get to know them better.
Tina Ventura is Solid Signal’s fulfillment manager. She handles the orders that come from our nationwide fulfillment centers and makes sure these are received and processes. She also resolves and keeps track of any issues, such as back-orders, discontinued products, or lost packages. October 6, 2016 will mark her two-year anniversary with Solid Signal. It’s been said that the “quiet ones” are some of the most interesting people, and that’s definitely the case with Tina. Here are some things you probably didn’t know about the young lady who sits in the back corner of our office:
How did you end up working at Solid Signal?
“I was told about the job by a friend who works here, so I started working in returns. I started in returns and worked in that position about six months. I then moved into the customer service department where I worked for about 10 months before becoming fulfillment manager.”
What do you like most about your job?
“I like the little things we do, such as celebrating employee’s birthdays and having BBQs. It’s nice to get together every now and then to take a break from our everyday tasks and enjoy each other’s company.”
What has been your greatest accomplishment while working here?
“Moving into the position I am in now. It took me a little over a year to accomplish. I worked hard to learn the different aspects of the company, and I am always looking for ways to improve and move forward.”
Do you have any children/pets? What are their names?
“I have 3 children: Connor (9), Andrew (7), and Cali (6). I also have two pit bulls – Zeus and Mastuda – and three cats – Samoa, Mewto, and Stache.”
What do you like to do in your spare time? (Hobbies, pursuits, etc.)
“Most of my spare time is spent with my kids; but aside from that, I love to travel. I’m also am a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, so football season is a big time for me. This will be my third year traveling through Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to see the Packers play the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.”
When people meet you, what really surprises them about you?
“Probably my age. At 28, I am nowhere near old, but people tend to think I am in my early twenties. They’re usually surprised to find out that I’m almost 30 and have children.”
Where is the most exotic place you’ve visited?
“My mother is an immigrant from Germany, so we would go back to visit her side of the family pretty often. She’s from a little town called Weilerbach, which is in the southwest region of the country. I’ve really enjoyed my visits there. Sitting on top of a hill in Trier overlooking the Mosel River and surrounding vineyards lit up at night is probably the most beautiful sights I have ever seen!”
If you could have dinner with one famous person who would it be?
“This is a tough one, but I think I would have to say Ed Gein. He may not be famous by that name, but he is the actual person whom Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Norman Bates (Psycho), and Buffalo Bill (Silence of the Lambs) are based upon. I am a huge horror movie buff, and I have always been interested in what makes these guys tick. If Ed Gein is Buffalo Bill, I guess that makes me Clarice.”
