AT&T Watch TV Has 500K Accounts

That’s right, AT&T Watch TV streaming service has about 500,000 current accounts. The communications giant recently announced this at last week’s earnings call. This huge spike in viewers can mostly be attributed to people getting this free streaming service after activating their AT&T Mobility plans. This shouldn’t be a surprise, since it was obvious that Watch TV was released to enhance AT&T’s wireless sales. By all accounts, it’s worked and Watch TV continues to be one of many reasons to get an AT&T Unlimited and More wireless plan.

Watch TV “Accounts” Vs. “Subscribers”

AT&T referred to its Watch TV growth as an increase in accounts rather than subscribers. There’s good reason for that. The majority of Watch TV viewers got this streaming service free with the purchase of an AT&T Unlimited and More phone plan. When AT&T first rolled out this streaming service, many believed that it was done so to enhance its mobility plans. This looks to be the case, which means we can infer that more people are becoming AT&T wireless customers.

DIRECTV NOW and Third Streaming Option

Watch TV is one of two AT&T streaming services that’s currently available. It’s not the communication company’s only streaming service, though. DIRECTV NOW delivers nearly all the viewing options as DIRECTV home satellite services. This makes it AT&T’s premier streaming service. If you want a streaming service that offers a huge variety of programming packages and unique sports-viewing options, DIRECTV NOW is for you. Solid Signal is a DIRECTV Authorized Dealer that can make that happen for you. Give us a call at 877-312-4547 to discuss.

Since we’re talking about AT&T’s streaming service, we have to mention a third one that’s on the way. Last December, AT&T announced it will unveil its Warner Media streaming service that features Warner Bros., Turner, and HBO content. It will give users access to many popular franchises and a huge selection of classic films and TV programming. It’s uncertain whether AT&T’s Warner Media service will produce original content. The company’s Warner Media streaming service is expected to be released this year.

Speaking of AT&T Wireless Plans…
