The best PDF tutorials in the home theater world

Ever wondered how to make your own cables? Have you wanted to rearrange your DIRECTV system but didn’t know how? Wondered if you’re splitting an antenna the right way? There’s only one way to find out!

Solid Signal’s PDF Tutorial Library

Did you know that this blog hosts a library of downloadable PDFs? You can find them here or by hovering/tapping on the word “TUTORIALS” at the top of the blog then clicking/tapping on “PDF TUTORIALS.”

Most of these tutorials were created in response to customer requests. Some are a little older but they’re all still accurate. It’s up to you if you just want a simple diagram or a complicated, step-by-step guide. It’s all here and it’s all free!

Better than a YouTube video?

I’ll admit that YouTube is an amazing repository for DIYers. You can find an installation guide for practically anything. I use it myself when I’m trying to figure something out. But the issue with YouTube is that you have to watch the whole thing to figure out what you want. Google is trying to improve this process by using its search systems to highlight different parts of a video. But it’s not perfect, at least not yet. There are plenty of times when it misses what you’re looking for, and it takes twice as long to find the part you are looking for.

That’s where a PDF diagram really comes in handy. It lays it all out for you. It’s right there. When you’re ready to look, it’s ready to show. A PDF can be printed out and put next to you. You won’t care if you spill coffee on it or scribble on it. You won’t care if it gets trashed. Try to say any of that about the phone you’re using to watch those YouTube videos. I don’t know about you, but if I’m up on a roof I don’t want my expensive phone just sitting there waiting to fall off.

Want a diagram of your own?

As I said, most of these diagrams came from requests made to our customer service department. We get new requests all the time. While our extensive library covers most of them, we still create new diagrams whenever we need to. If you’re having trouble with figuring something out, why not ask?
