A very interesting rumor came into the Solid Signal news desk today.
According to an anonymous source, DIRECTV will be extending the rental periods from the current 24 hours to 48 and 72 hours on many pay-per-view titles.
If you order a pay-per-view (DIRECTV Cinema) title from the web site, from your phone, via text message or mobile app, you’ll see the extended rental period. If you order from the receiver, the extended rental period will be there but the receiver’s menus won’t show it.
