HBO Max the Land of Looney Tunes & More!

If Looney Toons are your thing, then HBO Max should be your streaming service.

Did you grow up on Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig cartoons? I know I did, and I still consider many of those shows to be classics. Those and more of my favorite characters are seeing new life on HBO Max. Since these cartoons were entertaining for children and adults alike, it’s a perfect fit for HBO’s premier streaming service. If you’re also a fan of this style of wacky animation and storylines, check out what’s available for streaming on HBO Max.

Looney Tunes Cartoons

Most of your favorite characters have gotten a reboot in Looney Tunes Cartoons. This is the latest animated streaming TV series featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig, as well as many more Warner Bros. favorites. The series first premiered on May 27, 2020. More than 1,000 minutes of new Looney Tunes material was released on January 21 of this year. If you’re worried about these beloved characters suffering from a “reimagining,” check out the Looney Tunes Cartoons trailer:

I don’t know about you, but this looks like more of the same zaniness I used to love as a kid. That’s good because I think we could all use some laughs these days. I don’t have to tell you because you already know why. (Besides, we’re not that kind of blog.) If you’d like to introduce the next generation to Bugs, Daffy, and Porky – as well as the Road Runner, Tweety, and other classic characters – then check out Looney Tunes Cartoons. You’re sure to have a chuckle, yourself!

Old Looney Tunes are New Again!

Thanks to HBO Max, you don’t have to kiss those classic cartoons goodbye. The streaming service has restored and remastered a whopping 191 Looney Tunes episodes from 1932-1969. And if that’s not enough for you, there’s more. HBO Max re-restored an additional 28 episodes made between 1936 and 1955. Yes, these episodes were already restored, but the folks at AT&T decided to make the cartoons even better. If there’s a streaming service more dedicated to these animated classics, I don’t know about it.

Tom & Jerry: The Movie

While the classic Tom and Jerry cartoons weren’t a Warner Bros. creation, the latest movie is. This movie featuring TV’s most famous cat-and-mouse duo hit HBO Max and select movie theaters on February 26, 2021. It continues to run on the streaming service until March 28. The movie’s plot centers on Tom and Jerry meeting each other in New York City. If you’re even remotely familiar with these classic characters, you can pretty much guess where it goes from there.
