Marine DIRECTV Has a Solid Future!

TOPICS:

That’s our message to marine electricians. It comes straight from our in-house marine satellite TV expert!

Dave Ross, who works in our Signal Connect division, recently spoke at a webinar for marine electricians. It was hosted by marine satellite dish maker Intellian. Ross joined Rob Davies and Paul Comyns, both of Intellian, to share a strong message. They told a group of 100+ marine electricians that DIRECTV for boats is still a profitable venture. The attendees were all glad to hear this. We’re sharing that message for everyone in marine electronics installation.

Dave’s Message to Marine Electricians…

…The future of DIRECTV and its satellites is great. That’s what he told everyone at the Intellian webinar. Dave added, “AT&T has invested millions of dollars into the future of its satellites. “There’s even a new T16 satellite in the 101 location and it’s expected to stay in service until 2029.” This investment in new satellites lets DIRECTV provide thousands of channels to its marine customers.

Dave shared many other important details with marine electricians including:

  • The many strengths of marine DIRECTV.
  • Choosing the right satellite TV receivers with Intellian antennas.
  • What the “dash” in the model number means in regards to receiver voltage.
  • The importance of SWM multiswitches and voltage converters.
  • The benefits of marine commercial accounts.

Dave, Paul, and Rob wrapped up their presentation with a Q&A session for attendees.

“Thank You, Intellian!”

Dave is grateful for the opportunity to participate in Intellian’s recent webinar. “This was a wonderful opportunity and I value our partnership with Intellian,” Dave said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the company’s staff.” Dave also extended his gratitude to the 100+ dealers who tuned in for the presentation.

This is Dave’s second time joining the Intellian team in a presentation. In November 2019, he spoke at the company’s annual Dealer and Cruise Partner event. He recalled, “The facility was amazing and it was a first-class event from start to finish!” Dave also co-hosted presentations at the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) expos in 2017 and 2018.

Call Us, Marine Electricians

Dave ended his presentation by sharing the benefits of working with Signal Connect. “When you’re done installing DIRECTV on a boat, give us a call,” he said. “In most cases, we can activate that account in 15 minutes or less.” Signal Connect provides your clients with free tech support service for the life of their account. “This saves you time and money by letting you focus on your next installation,” he added.
