What’s new at SolidSignal.com?

If you’re going to be a success in the 21st century, you have to innovate. You can’t stand still for sure. That’s probably always been true, but the pace of that innovation sure keeps increasing. That’s why we’re constantly improving things at Solid Signal.

New products

Over the last year, our product selection has increased a lot. We’ve added over 15,000 new parts of all kinds. You can never stay still in a crowded marketplace and we’ve been adding new stuff left and right.

We’ve started working hard to get interesting products that no one else has. One of my favorites is this head-up display which works with every car made since 2003. I think we all have wanted this kind of display in our cars and for some reason carmakers don’t want to do it. This is a great solution and it takes away the anxiety that comes with modern carmakers who seem to have forgotten where to put the speedometer. More cars than ever seem to tuck it into the middle of the dash, making you look away to check.

I’m also a fan of this smart outlet. Sure everyone sells a smart outlet but this one combines iPad/fast charging support, Alexa and Google home, and a built-in automatic nightlight. This is a great combination that makes you want to say “shut up and take my money!

Not every new product is for the impulse buyer. As part of our commitment to rule the world of commercial broadcasting, we’ve added hundreds of parabolic antennas. These antennas are used by cities and first responders all over the country. They may not be glamorous, but they’re tough and they work.

New ideas for established markets

For years, I’ve been frustrated that we couldn’t bring you a good streaming box option. Apple, Google and the others dominate this market and for whatever reason, we couldn’t break into their approved sellers list.

That’s changed with the AirTV player. This AndroidTV streaming box gives you virtually the same app selection as other providers and adds something none of them do: full integration with over-the-air television. Of course this is perfect for us at Solid Signal because we’re the nationwide leaders in over-the-air antennas and already sell more than anyone else.

The best part is that we’ve managed to put out a killer price for this box that makes it incredibly competitive. You’ll pay less than you would for any other 4K streaming box plus you get a free antenna. I think this is a big win for us.

For our long-term customers, we’re finally offering the new Genie backlit remote at a killer price. A lot of people have come to Solid Signal over the years because we beat everyone’s pricing on DIRECTV and DISH remotes. Finally, we’re extending that win streak to the backlit Genie remote, which is unquestionably the king of DIRECTV remotes.

New teams and new strategies

I don’t have any fancy pictures here but I do want to tell you that on the back end, we have been working hard to make sure our people are the best in the business and that we can do our best work. We’ve reorganized and rethought and reworked a lot of things in our Novi, Michigan corporate offices to make things better for our customers and we’re not done yet.

When you look at what we’re doing it makes so much sense that we’re succeeding. Our 100% US-based call center is a much better choice than a large website or pay-TV company who might send calls all over the world. We’re in the middle of a massive overhaul of our social media properties and web properties, too. You saw it here in the winter when The Solid Signal Blog got its biggest refresh in history and that same spirit is going all over the web.

Yes folks…

it’s a great time to do business with Solid Signal. On behalf of the entire team, thanks for being our customers, our readers, and our friends!
