AirTV to the rescue

There are plenty of ways to watch TV today. We’re all spoiled for choice when it comes to that. You can stream, you can use an antenna, you can use satellite or cable. You have so many options. And yet, there’s a big hole in the world of video that only our AirTV can fill.

What’s so special about AirTV?

AirTV is the “missing link” in the cord-cutting experience. It does what no other device can do: it takes the signal from your antenna and streams it. Not just in the house, not just to your TV, but everywhere. Yes you absolutely can stream it to a TV in your house if you want. That will stop you from running cable from room to room. More importantly, you can see your TV anywhere in the world on any phone or tablet. Not only that you can even get DVR capability just by plugging in a flash drive or portable hard drive.

Why is this so important?

Because local TV is important. Local news is important. Local sports are important. If you want to know what’s going on in your local community, you’ll get that information from your local TV station. And most of the time you can’t get that information on your phone. Even if your local station lets you stream from their web site, you won’t be able to watch it on your phone. Most of the time those streams only work on desktop PCs.

Even if you have a live TV solution like DIRECTV NOW or Sling, they’ll only give you local channels if you’re in-town. What if you’re halfway across the world? It doesn’t work. AirTV works everywhere, period. The last time I was in Los Angeles I watched Detroit local television all night. It worked great. I also got to watch the shows 3 hours early.

It’s so easy to do.

The AirTV box connects anywhere you have an antenna and access to Wi-Fi or wired internet. From there you can use either the free Sling app or the free AirTV app for your mobile device to get local channels. It even works on the Sling app loaded onto most streaming devices. You’ll get a guide, program info, even a preview of what’s playing. It’s just like cable TV except there’s nothing more to pay, ever. The streaming service starts from your home so it uses your internet. There’s no service provider to pay.

If you need more convincing, check out the AirTV product page where you’ll see videos and other information that will give you even more confidence. This is one of those awesome set-it-and-forget it devices that you’ll be glad you have. You may not use it every day but when you do… it’s incredibly super awesome.
