Blackfire Clamplight LED Lantern

TOPICS:

Whether I’m using a flashlight or lantern, the biggest annoyance is that I have to carry it. When I need some extra light, it’s because I’m doing something that requires use of both of my hands. For example, I take a flashlight with me every time I’m night fishing. The extra light helps me see my fishing line and eyelet of my hook, but trying to tie a fisherman’s knot while cradling a flashlight under my elbow isn’t the easiest thing to do. This is one of the reason I was excited to see that Solid Signal carries the Blackfire Clamplight lantern.

I don’t know if “clamplight” used to be a word, but it is now and we have Blackfire to thank for it. This Blackfire light features an aluminum carabiner clip that attaches to most shelves, limbs, rails, benches and more. Basically, anywhere you need to bring light to darkened nook or cranny. Unlike lanterns that need a place to hang or an outlet to plug into, this flashlight/lantern can be clamped or clipped nearly anywhere. If you work on automobiles or do plumbing or construction work, this could be a handy device. Same goes for anyone who enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time in the outdoors.

The more I unpack this Blackfire Clamplight lantern, the more I think of it as the cellphone of lanterns. Let me explain. Back in the day, we used to have VHS camcorders, cassette players, calculators, hand-held electronic games, and our home phones. Today, one cellphone can do what all of those devices could do and more… and it’s portable. This Blackfire Clamplight LED lantern is also a multi-purpose tool that’s extremely useful. First and foremost, this device is both a flashlight and a lantern. It includes a flashlight mode, and the device’s articulating head that lets you put the light where you need it.

The Blackfire Clamplight comes with many exciting features, such as:

  • Four power modes: high, low, strobe, and flashlight power modes
  • Eight KONG LEDs in the lantern, one Cree white LED in the flashlight
  • IC chip that provides more consistent light output
  • Head pivots for more coverage where needed
  • Weatherproof (IPX4)
  • 125 lumens on in high lantern mode, 65 lumens in low lantern mode and 75 lumens in flashlight mode
  • IC chip provides more consistent light output
  • Made from high performance plastics, stainless steel springs and pins, and rubberized coating

The Blackfire Clamplight LED lantern is the ideal outdoor gear for a guy like me. Like I mentioned earlier, it will be a huge help when I’m night fishing down at the river this summer. It will also be good in the fall, during deer season. (This will likely offend Stuart Sweet’s finer sensibilities.) I usually stay in my blind until the sun dips behind the horizon. Clamping this light on the ladder would be a great way to make sure my foot doesn’t miss a wrung. The light will also come in handy with other hunting-related tasks such as field dressing. Again, the concept of hands-free light is what excites me about this product.

If you’re like me, this Blackfire Clamplight lantern could be a very useful device. Solid Signal proudly carries it among other Blackfire products in its online inventory. If you have any questions about this product, or would like to place an order, give us a call at 888-233-7563.
