Gemini remotes now in stock at Solid Signal!

Have you seen the prices they want to charge for replacement Gemini remotes at Amazon? Seriously I don’t know how they get away with it. I’m glad I work at Solid Signal.

Our purchasing department has been hard at work and we’ve sourced the original equipment RC82V Gemini Voice Remote. This is the same remote that’s included with the Gemini for Satellite and Gemini for Internet. It will work with any AT&T/Osprey/DIRECTV Stream box as well (since they’re all the same thing.) It pairs easily with your existing box and can be used as a second remote or as a replacement for a remote you’ve lost. I did this video a while back to show how it’s done on the internet box:

The instructions are essentially the same for the satellite box, just press MENU, go to Settings, Remote&Devices. You’ll be able to add a remote from there. Adding a remote just involves pressing two buttons:

Press them both at the same time for a few seconds, that should be all it takes.

You can have more than one remote

The folks at DIRECTV won’t say how many remotes can be paired to one Gemini, but it’s more than two. The best answer I’ve been able to figure out is you should be able to pair up to 8. This is important for folks who lose the remote often. The DIRECTV remote still doesn’t have a “lost” function like the DISH remotes, so sometimes it pays to have an extra one around.

Personally I like to have one remote near each one of my seats in the living room. I can see how some households would just see that as an opportunity to fight over what to watch, but that isn’t really a problem in my home. The problem in my home is usually just having a remote in easy reach.

You can’t beat this price

Solid Signal has these remotes for less than half of the price that sellers like Amazon are charging. We’ve always been able to offer great prices on genuine DIRECTV and DISH remotes, and we’re glad to continue that tradition with the Gemini voice remote.
