What a year it has been. There’s barely more than one month left. As we look back at the times we laughed, we cried, and we swore over the events of the year, we might all take a moment to be genuinely thankful.
Thankful that we share this little blue marble together.
Thankful that we live in times when a universe of information is at our fingertips.
Thankful that when we wake up and when we go to sleep, there is still beauty around us, although sometimes it may be hard to see.
Thankful that there are people in the world who devote their entire lives to helping others.
Thankful that one day a year, since at least 1863 (and earlier in many, many cases) our entire nation has ceased from most forms of labor to celebrate together.
Our offices are closed today
That last bit is why Solid Signal is closed today. Our staff are spending time with family and friends and we hope you are too. Servers, on the other hand, have neither family nor friends and while it may one day be illegal to make computers work on Thanksgiving, ours are still working today. If you’re reading The Solid Signal Blog today, I’m thankful for you. This has been quite a year for our blog. We relaunched on a whole new platform. While it’s been a tough process from beginning to end, it’s been worth it. Our readership has almost doubled. Our new commenting system as allowed more people than ever to participate. Even our support forum is more secure than ever. I’m thankful the hard work is over, but I’m definitely thankful I did it.
Today, it’s turkey and football time for me. I hope you all are doing what you love to do today, with those you love to do it with. Have a great day and we’ll be back to doing great things, tomorrow!
