Keep Your Kids Safe on the Road

Do you have kids of driving age? Help them arrive safely at their destinations with a GPS navigation system.

We have several fall birthdays in my wife’s family. Our son, Hunter, turns 19 this October. Our niece Alyssa will be turning 25 that same month. This means both will spend a lot of time behind the wheel. I picture them driving to college and jobs, but they’ll likely take road trips with their friends. For Hunter’s birthday, I might buy him a plug-and-play navigation device. This would give my wife and I some peace of mind!

Better Than a Cell Phone
“Why can’t I just use the GPS on my phone?” I almost can hear Hunter saying that. A cell phone app is his answer to everything, but father knows best. GPS on a cell phone is too unreliable. Sometimes the voice giving directions just cuts out. Then there was that time my phone’s GPS locked up on the way to a job interview! Worst of all, staring at a phone while driving is distracting and dangerous. Mounting a navigation device to his dashboard seems like the best solution.

Mom and I Agree…
No parent wants their child to drive while distracted. A dash-mounted GPS system is better than your kid burying their face in a phone while on the highway. Thankfully, there’s a wide variety of navigation systems on Solid Signal’s website. I’m sure Mrs. Buckler and I will find something that Hunter will accept. You can find one for your kid, too!
