Premier League Soccer coming to DIRECTV in 4K

Soccer lovers, it’s on.

DIRECTV announced today that they’ll be the first broadcaster to air Premier League soccer in 4K, and look, while I don’t know a lot about soccer, you don’t have a thing called “premier league” if it isn’t, well, premier. So I’m pretty sure that this is a big deal if you’re a soccer fan.

The first game will be between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, at 12:30 eastern time on channel 106. Personally I’m having trouble thinking of two cities that sound more stereotypically soccer-oriented, unless perhaps you consider Arsenal and Burnley, whose game airs Sunday at 9:15am Eastern.

If you don’t have 4K yet, these incredibly British matchups will air on NBC Sports Channel and on many local NBC stations.

It’s probably too late for you to get DIRECTV 4K for the weekend, but if you are ready to step up to the only live 4K broadcasts in all of the US, check out our Ultimate Guide to DIRECTV 4K for tips, tricks, and everything you’ll need to watch TV with the best quality available today.

When you’re ready to upgrade, shop Solid Signal or call us at 888-233-7563 and we’ll help you get the best possible deal. Our computer systems search all of DIRECTV’s databases to find out just what you’re entitled to, and we can get that 4K package right out to you!
