PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: King Carry Bag

Yes, I’m geeking out over a bag. Shoot me.

I think this KING carry bag is a really cool little piece of kit. It’s sized perfectly to carry the company’s Tailgater, Quest, and KING One Pro products. A handle at the top looks pretty convenient, but the straps on the side that make it act as a backpack are pure unadulterated genius.

And it really is a must-have.

The KING products are really pretty tough. They’ll stand up to what the world tosses at them. But that doesn’t mean that you want to have them rolling around the RV willy-nilly. You also don’t want to risk dropping those smooth plastic gumdrops when you carry them out to your tailgating site. A padded bag, let me say, is pretty bad ass. You won’t find anything else properly sized for the KING products, either. This one’s pretty perfect.

Why not just use the box it came in?

Hey folks, I’m as stingy as they come. I’ll reuse practically anything. But do you really want a big cardboard box in the RV? It will take up lots of space even when it’s empty, it’s not designed to be used multiple times, and it’s a lot bigger than the satellite antenna itself. It’s designed for shipping, not storage. The carry bag folds down to a svelte 18″x18″x6″ when not in use, and it’s pretty easy to find a space that small to slip it into. It also only adds 2.5 pounds to the overall weight of the system and that’s a consideration. A big box can be hard to carry and easy to drop. This bag is a lot easier.

By the way, the bag isn’t just for the antenna. There are pockets for all the cables and other accessories you need, too. It’s a perfect way to take it all with you when you’re ready to get away.
