Do you really want to support small businesses? Shop Solid Signal any day for the consumer electronics products you want and need.

By now, you’ve probably heard about Small Business Saturday. It’s the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the time of the year when consumers are encouraged to “shop small.” It’s a great idea, but small businesses need more than one day a year in order to survive and thrive. This is especially true with everything going on right now. (We won’t go into details because we’re not that kind of blog.) Solid Signal is a small business that works hard to earn your continued support.

How Small of a Small Business Are We?

You be the judge. Judging by our newly redesigned website, you might think we carry a HUGE online selection of high-quality TV antennas, satellite TV equipment, and more. Well, we do, but we’re still a small business when compared to the corporate giants that dominate the online marketplace. Founded in 2002, Solid Signal is a national online electronics distributor based in Novi, Michigan. The company employs 54 families who make Metro Detroit their home.

For those interested in our history, here are some highlights from the Solid Signal timeline:

  • October 2002: Business developed to sell hard to find satellite TV hardware and over-the-air antennas. First product ordered received at SolidSignal.com on October 14, 2002.
  • December 14, 2002: Signal Group LLC officially established as a company.
  • 2005: Cord-cutting becomes popular across several key market sectors. Signal Group’s expertise in these matters allows it to evolve into the second largest on the roof antenna retailer in the U.S.
  • 2007: The digital conversion of all American TV sets marks a milestone for Signal Group. The company became the first to accept the $40 TV converter box coupon from the Department of Commerce online.
  • September 2016: Signal Group ships its one-millionth order.
  • October 14, 2018: Signal Group celebrates its 16th anniversary.
  • September 27, 2019: Newsweek magazine names Solid Signal e-commerce website the “Best Site for Consumer Electronics Accessories.”
  • November 14, 2020: Solid Signal launches its newly redesigned website.

As you can see, we’re proud of our history. We’ve certainly had many milestones over the years, and we couldn’t have done any of this without you. Whether you get a TV antenna or anything else we carry, you’re supporting our small business. This lets us continue to support you with our blog posts, installation instructions, tutorials, white papers, and much more. When cord-cutters need antenna recommendations, installation instructions, and more, they continue to turn to our small, Michigan-based business for help.

Solid Signal: Who We Are

TV antennas will always be our core business. If you’ve made it this far, you know that the company was founded on this. We’re equally strong in satellite TV dishes, and equipment, as well as cellular phone boosters. These sectors are the foundation upon which Solid Signal is built, hence our name. You can count on us for any connectivity-related issue you have or solution you need.

And yes, we’re also the best online electronics distributor. Our online inventory is jam-packed with a huge variety of consumer electronics equipment and devices. To learn more about everything we carry – and get some great product deals – sign up for our email list. And keep supporting Solid Signal, you’re No. 1 small business source for your electronics needs.

Shop Local, Too!

As I said earlier, small businesses are really taking a hit this year. Small, family-owned restaurants have really taken a hit. Supporting small businesses goes beyond one Saturday a year. Why not take the opportunity to safely support the local restaurants and eateries near you? Grab a couple of take-out orders each week or dine outdoors if you can. Even dinner for two in a plastic bubble can also be a pleasant and romantic experience if you give it a chance!
