TV Apps are a little wonky today

If you’re a fan of DIRECTV TVApps, you’ve no doubt noticed that they have been a little bit twitchy the last few days. You might have noticed that the weather channel app is not responding right and that many custom apps are gone from the app store.

It’s not your receiver. This appears to be a system-wide issue and probably comes from DIRECTV’s servers. Several DIRECTV staffers at many levels have told us at The Solid Signal Blog that the entire apps structure is being rethought and revamped, and sadly that probably is the source of the outage, as different parts of the system are upgraded.

We have been told that the new apps system is really exciting, and the few previews we’ve seen look fabulous. So, your patience will be rewarded.
