AT&T Inc.* (NYSE:T) announced today that the company’s first-quarter 2020 results will be released before 7 a.m. ET on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. At 8:30 a.m. ET the same day, AT&T will host a conference call to discuss the results. I think it’s safe to say that the end of the first quarter, which ended March 31, probably wasn’t the strongest time for AT&T. But you don’t know. Telecommunications equipment is really important in times of crisis, and DIRECTV Satellite has been very strong in the past month or so. People need reliable information and satellite TV provides it.
If there are any surprises, I’ll post about them after the call. These financial calls tend to be a fairly boring affair, except for the vultures who circle around picking through them for scraps of bad news they can use to get their readership numbers up.
