DIRECTV adds Estrella TV nationally

Who says DIRECTV isn’t adding HD channels? OK, so maybe they’re not adding the ones you want… but just today DIRECTV turned on Estrella TV for those who have the En Español package. It’s on channel 442. It’s been available in some markets already, as part of the broadcast TV package, but now it’s available for Spanish Language speakers everywhere in the DIRECTV coverage area.

Estrella TV has a mix of news, sports and lifestyle content peppered with scripted and unscripted programming. It’s very similar to the daytime content on Telemundo or Univision, as far as I can see. But hey, it’s another choice, and choice is always better.

If you’re reading this blog you’re probably a native English speaker and most likely not interested in this channel, but you have to remember that there are a lot of people out there who speak Spanish and who are looking for entertainment options. These people deserve a good experience too and in many markets across the country there simply isn’t a good selection of Spanish language content. That’s where DIRECTV comes in. With coverage all across the country, it’s perfect for bringing niche programming to areas that can’t otherwise get it.

In fact, DIRECTV leads all other providers in non-English packages. Whether it’s Korean or Farsi or Spanish (or even more languages), you’ll find the best selection of content in the language you speak by getting DIRECTV service. It all starts with a call to Signal Connect at 888-233-7563 — we’re waiting to help!
