The best DIRECTV tutorials, all in one place

DIRECTV has been around now for almost 25 years. In that time, it’s gone from being a DIY, bleeding-edge technology to the most trusted name in entertainment. Over 24 million homes depend on reliable satellite television from DIRECTV. It’s easy to use and easy to understand. But what if you have questions? What if you really want to customize your system?

You could start with DIRECTV’s own resources.

I’ll admit the people at DIRECTV have assembled an impressive array of videos and tutorials at their own site as well as on their own YouTube channel. I know some of the people who have created this stuff and they have done excellent work. I think that the best thing you can say is that their tutorials are easy to use and cover a lot of the common issues you’ll have. All of the things they’ve built are designed to reduce call volume to their various global call centers. I think they do a good job of that.

You could head over to a support forum.

Back about a decade ago, peer support forums were really hot. This was before a lot of people had Facebook or other forms of social media. Back then peer support forums were the way that enthusiasts really communicated. I personally started at a peer support forum when I had questions with my DIRECTV system back, back, back when.

I can’t say enough about the value that peer support forums have brought to satellite enthusiasts over the years. The problem is that younger people don’t see them as a really viable way to get the info they need. It’s a generational thing, I guess.

Or… you could get the best resources all in one place.

Well, of course I’m here to brag about the great resources available here at The Solid Signal Blog. You can find downloadable reviews and tutorials for virtually every complicated thing you’d want to do. You can watch over 100 videos that demonstrate key features of your DIRECTV system as well as other things we offer at SolidSignal.com.

If you’re looking to learn everything all in one place, take a look at our selection of over 1,000 articles and tutorials right here. Stretching back over ten years, we have worked hard to bring you the answers to every possible question you might have. Search at the top of the blog for a specific answer, or just browse the list.

It’s not just current stuff

Of course when you’re looking at the support documents at DIRECTV.com, you’re getting very current stuff. That’s as it should be, but if you’re looking for a setup guide for something a little older, you’ll find it here. Our team probably reviewed it when it was new and we’re happy to bring you all the tips and tricks you’ll need to keep your older equipment running the way it did when it was new.

Join the conversation

The best part of The Solid Signal Blog is that you can join the conversation. We use the DISQUS commenting system so you can ask questions and get answers right away on articles that interest you. In most cases you’ll get an answer very quickly, too. The best part of the DISQUS system is that you probably already signed up for it somewhere else, but if you didn’t you can use a Facebook or Google account which will keep things more secure. We don’t ever post on your social media and we can’t see your friends or contacts. It’s not that kind of system.

Why go anywhere else?

Let’s face it, the Solid Signal Blog is the source you’ve always wanted for every one of your DIRECTV questions. We’re part of a thriving community of insiders and testers and you get the benefit. Read the blog every day for the best selection of news, tutorials, and information about not just DIRECTV but all the other technologies in your life.
