What’s the easiest way to stream live sports?

Sports never stops. No matter what time of the year it is, there’s always one professional sport that’s going strong. For a superfan, you might think it makes it hard to get on with your life. The days when you could put off chores until after football season are gone. Now, when one sport ends, another one comes into focus immediately.

Why everyone loves streaming sports

It’s like I said. You would love to sit in front of the big screen and take it all in, but real life awaits. Streaming the game on your phone is a lot better than missing it. The problem is that with so many different streaming apps it’s hard to know how to get the entertainment you want. Luckily there’s a way to get practically everything with just one app. The things you can’t get with that one app… you can still use one login to get. You’ll just need a few more apps.

Don’t keep me in suspense, what’s the app?

That’s right, it’s the DIRECTV app.

You might think of DIRECTV as your favorite satellite TV service. You might think of them as the service with all the major sports. What you didn’t know is that the DIRECTV app for phones and tablets is the best way to watch live TV! You can get well over 100 channels of live TV including your local channels. That’s where you’ll find a lot of local sports action. You’ll also find ESPN, MLB, NBA, NFL, and many other channels. You can watch live right from your phone and it’s included in your satellite TV subscription. In most cases if you are an AT&T subscriber, you can even watch without incurring data charges.

The DIRECTV App is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play store. It’s totally free. You log in with the same credentials you use at DIRECTV.com or ATT.com. Choose “Watch on Phone” or “Watch on iPad” and you’ll be watching free TV before you know it!

What about sports packages?

If you’ve subscribed to NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB Extra Innings, or any of the other sports programs you’ll find on DIRECTV, you can also use dedicated apps to watch. In some cases, you’ll find games in the DIRECTV app, but if you didn’t. you can get the free NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB.TV, or NBA apps. With the Sunday Ticket app you just log in with your DIRECTV.com or ATT.com ID. With the others, you create a free account and link it to your satellite subscription. You only have to do this one.

If you have a regional sports network, most of them have apps as well and you can link them to your DIRECTV subscription for free live viewing there too.

What if you don’t have DIRECTV?

Well I would say, get DIRECTV by calling the experts at Solid Signal. The number is 888-233-7563. But, if you’re a true cord-cutter, you might try Locast. Locast is a free service available in many of the nation’s largest cities. With Locast you can stream live TV from your local stations for free. There are some limitations. You can read more about Locast here.
