Where can you get a DIRECTV receiver (not a Genie client?)

For the last 10 years, DIRECTV has been promoting its Genie technology. You can’t blame them. It’s not only customer-friendly, it’s also less expensive for the company. A central DVR that supplies programming to up to 7 rooms at a time makes sense for everyone. Well, almost everyone. But if you’ve ever called DIRECTV and asked them for a non-Genie receiver, you know that they’re not really set up to do that.

Standalone receiver? Why?

There are great reasons to have standalone receivers. If you want DIRECTV service in your detached garage, the easiest thing to do is put up a second dish. It’s completely “within the rules” to do this, and the only problem is that you’ll need a standalone receiver.

Customers with RVs also love standalone receivers. In many cases, you can keep one receiver from your main DIRECTV account in the RV rather than having two accounts. The trick is that you can’t have people in the RV and the home at the same time, which usually isn’t a problem.

Marine customers also love standalone receivers. Why? Because the wiring is more similar to international satellite wiring. Even if your boat isn’t going anywhere near international waters, it’s probably pre-wired in a way that makes Genies difficult if not impossible.

Finally, anyone who still wants a round DIRECTV dish (or something that thinks it’s a round dish) will want a standalone receiver. Genies don’t support the round dish anymore, so tailgaters and those folks with portable dishes don’t want Genies. They can’t use them.

The receivers that are available

H24 Receiver

The H24 receiver is designed for residential customers. It’s compatible with SWM and non-SWM systems and will give you great quality HD programming as well as any SD channels that are still out there. It’s available only from Solid Signal.

H25 Commercial Receiver

The H25 Commercial Receiver is designed to be tough. It’s the most power-efficient receiver, and also the smallest. Its external power supply means it runs cool and is super-reliable. Use it for bars, restaurants, or hotels. Get yours from Solid Signal.

H44 Commercial Receiver

The H44 Commercial Receiver is a little larger than the H25, but is generally newer. It’s the only receiver that is still being manufactured. It’s recommended that you get professional installation so that it works properly in your system. Get yours now, or call us for more information at 888-233-7563.

Here’s how you can get the receiver you need

Call Solid Signal. We are one of the few companies that can still get you a standalone DIRECTV box. DIRECTV’s own warehouses don’t have them. Most of them haven’t been made in years. Solid Signal can get you a receiver for your home, business, RV, boat, or garage. Practically no one else can.

Get the receiver you need by shopping at our site, or get white glove service by calling us! We’re here during East Coast business hours at 888-233-7563. If it’s after hours, fill out the form below and we’ll get back to you, usually within one business day.
