Look, even the largest US-based shopping sites are known for having a problem with knockoffs and poor quality goods. Yes it’s true that those places you shop at are convenient, and the free shipping is great. But with millions of items, the companies just can’t keep up with all the things coming in. Every year those sites delist and remove hundreds of companies selling counterfeit or fraudulent goods. It’s barely a drop in the bucket when it comes to the sheer amount of stuff that comes in every day.
So why take a risk when looking for a gadget? It’s better to look at a site where we’ve tested every item and know that it’s going to be a hit with our Solid Signal community.
How many deals are there?
In general, we have between 8 and 24 deals on our page at any given time. They will change from day to day but often times you’ll be able to come back and get a popular deal if you look for it at a later date.
How do we choose deals?
Our product team works directly with manufacturers to find products that our Solid Signal community will enjoy. It generally takes several months to introduce a new product, as we test in internally and make sure it meets our exacting standards.
What about products that were listed as deals but aren’t there anymore?
Most of our deal products are still available at SolidSignal.com after they’ve come off the deal page. Sometimes the price will be higher if a product isn’t listed as a deal, but it’s always the best price we can offer.
Is there free shipping on deals?
It depends on the deal. Certain large sites have gotten people used to free shipping but folks, I’ll tell you something. Shipping is never really free. You may not see the line item for shipping but the web site is paying for it somehow. Even if they are so big that they have their own delivery fleet, there’s still shipping involved and it still costs something. Rather than try to hide our delivery charges, we post them right up front.
On small items, we try to use the most economical shipping method possible. Depending on where you live, this can mean that it takes five days or so for your item to arrive. You can choose expedited shipping when you check out but obviously there’s going to be a little more cost involved there.
