In the last 12 months, we’ve seen DIRECTV rise to be the only TV provider in the US with full-time live 4K content. There’s more coming too… although it’s up to content providers to start filling that pipeline. DIRECTV produces more 4K content than anyone else, but other companies need to step up as well. There hasn’t been a single 4K channel announced to date.
Given all that, what would you change about DIRECTV 4K? Of course we all just want more 4K, but there has to be more to it than that. What else would you change?
Personally I’d like to see 4K content be downscale-able to HD if the C61K client is connected to an HDTV. Some of the documentaries are pretty good even in HD.
What about you?
