DIRECTV releases Fall 4K Schedule

Get ready for even more great 4K programming from DIRECTV this fall. DIRECTV’s three full-time 4K channels already offer the best documentaries, movies and special events on channels 104-106 for customers with the right hardware. Now, there’s even more to enjoy with 4K sports including baseball’s American League Championship Series!

That’s right, games three and four of the ALCS will be aired in glorious 4K this year on channel 106. Those games join other sports programming that’s been previously announced, but in case you haven’t been keeping up, here’s the whole list of special event programming for the next month:

Baseball
10/16 – ALCS Game three, 8:00pm ET
10/17 – ALCS Game four, 5:00pm ET

NBA
10/23 – Toronto vs San Antonio, 8:30pm ET
10/31 – Oklahoma vs Milwaukee, 8:00pm ET

College Football
10/14 – Baylor vs Oklahoma, 3:00 p.m. ET
10/21 – Teams TBD, 3:30pm ET
10/28 – Teams TBD, 3:00pm ET

English Premier League Soccer

10/22 – Tottenham vs Liverpool, 11:00 am ET
10/28 – Manchester United vs Tottenham, 7:30 am ET (Channel 105)

In order to get 4K programming, you will need a DIRECTV HR54 Genie or HS17 Genie 2 DVR, a DIRECTV C61K 4K Genie Mini Client and a compatible TV supporting HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2. A DIRECTV 4K-ready smart TV may be used instead of a client. As of today you do not need a special dish but within the next six months you will need to upgrade to a Reverse Band 3 dish if you do not already have one.

If you already have an HR44 Genie and are already receiving 4K programming you will be able to see this month’s 4K programs but you will need to upgrade in order to continue to see 4K programs when the new dish is needed. You may qualify for a free equipment upgrade, and the best way to know for sure is to give us a call!

There’s still time to see a lot of the 4K action this month. All it takes is one call to Solid Signal at 888-233-7563 to get started. We can arrange for all the equipment you need so you can install yourself, or arrange for a DIRECTV-certified technician to come to your home and do the installation for you!
