What are you waiting for… get an antenna!

The last thing you want is to lose access to that all-important game or miss the live elimination from your favorite show. Sure, there’s always tomorrow, but when it comes to certain things, it’s live or nothing. And if you want live TV, you need an antenna. Simple as that.

An antenna is a “must”

Cable and satellite have tons more channels, but did you know that every single one of the top ten rated programs is on good old live TV? Every single one. With the new TV season just starting you’re going to want to catch a lot of those new shows live so you can talk about them at work the next day, and while cable and satellite are great…

…remember that there are all sorts of forces at work that can keep you from getting live TV over cable or satellite. It could be as simple as a broken television cable or fiber, rain fade, or it could be a greedy broadcaster forcing your cable or satellite company to black out local broadcasting. It happens all the time. Several years ago folks in New Orleans and Cleveland nearly lost their NFL home team opener because they couldn’t watch it on DIRECTV.

Isn’t streaming enough?

Streaming is great. Of course it’s great. And, honestly, it’s gotten better in past years. If you’re in one of the cities served by Locast, you can even get antenna TV using a streaming device. But streaming TV isn’t perfect. First of all, it’s rarely free. There are some free apps to be sure. But unless you’re lucky enough to be in a city with Locast you’re not going to get your locals for free. Even with Locast you won’t get the full selection.

The funny thing is, if you have satellite you can usually authenticate to provider apps and get live TV that way. But once you cut the cord you lose the ability to do that. See, the cable or satellite company has been paying for that for you, and you didn’t know it. Now if you want to stream live you’ll have to pay for it yourself. Or, you can get an antenna. With an over-the-air antenna you pay once and get great TV service for decades.

There’s one place to get an antenna

Yeah, I’ve told you this story before, how you can browse our large selection of antennas or get a personalized recommendation from our experts, but maybe you didn’t think it was the right time. Here’s the honest fact: An antenna is the least expensive, easiest way to get every single top-rated show, and there’s still time to get one from Solid Signal. No one else has a selection of the best products from all the top rated manufacturers. You may find two or three antennas at your local big box store, but Solid Signal has the quality and selection you won’t find anywhere else, not even large online shopping sites.

When you look at the big picture, an antenna costs you almost nothing and it guarantees you access to so much entertainment. The only question is… what are you waiting for?
