DIRECTV announces their next Live 4K Event

Ready for more awesome 4K programming from DIRECTV?

DIRECTV has announced that they will be covering the AT&T Byron Nelson Golf Tournament in 4K this weekend, May 21 and 22. Coverage of the 17th hole will be broadcast live in 4K on DIRECTV channel 106.

Of course it comes as very little surprise that DIRECTV would choose to highlight an AT&T-sponsored event, but that’s not the point. The point is that more 4K is better, no matter what. We’re at that early stage where we’ll take all the content we can get, right?

In order to watch DIRECTV 4K programs, you’ll need an HR54 DVR and either a C61K Genie Mini Client or DIRECTV 4K-Ready Smart TV. You can get all the details, including links to the products you’ll need, at our 4K portal at SolidSignal.com.
